Privacy and cookie policy
Last updated 20 October 2026
This policy explains how Xfinity Solutions UK (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit xfinitysolutions.co.uk or contact us, and the choices and rights you have under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
Xfinity Solutions UK is the controller of your personal data. Contact us about anything in this policy at xfinity.solutions@gmail.com or by phone on 07466 648517 or 07739 312325.
What we collect and why
- When you contact us (email, phone or the project planner): your name, contact details and what you tell us about your project. We use it to reply and to prepare a proposal. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- The project planner runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to us until you choose to send the email it prepares.
- Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location (country or city) and how you arrived. We use it to understand which pages help visitors. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Security logs kept by our hosting provider, such as IP address and browser, to keep the site secure and working. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
We do not sell your data or use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
- Google: email (Gmail) and, with your consent, Google Analytics.
- Vercel: hosts the website.
- GoDaddy: manages our domain name.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations or approved safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: up to two years after our last contact, unless you become a client.
- Client records: as long as our contract requires and then as the law requires (for example, six years for financial records).
- Analytics data: up to 14 months, then deleted automatically by Google Analytics.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Email xfinity.solutions@gmail.com and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Cookies
Cookies and similar storage are small pieces of data saved in your browser. We use strictly necessary storage to remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them; we do not use marketing cookies. The website works fully whichever you choose.
